(Authors note: This essay is about how the Loss of innocence can be shown in two different books and the how loss of innocence can be the same in different books.)
In every book, there are a few main themes, including a common theme called the loss of innocence. I’m going to compare how loss of innocence can be projected in two completely different books.
For instance in The Fighting Grounds by Avi there are some great examples regarding loss of innocence. Jonathan, the main character lost his innocence a few times in the book. He felt violated and scared when he was captured by the Hessians. Jonathan didn’t know if he was going to be killed or if he would be lucky enough to slip through enemy lines and gain back his freedom. Another example is when Jonathan joined the army. People were really wondering if he was capable of fighting. Deep down Jonathan knew that he made the worst decision of his life.
In comparison, The Outsiders by S.E Hinson Ponyboy was the main character who also lost his innocence. Ponyboy could not make good decisions. His life was crumbling in front of him. His friends were dying. He could do nothing to help his friends avoid death. Also, when Johnny killed Bob, Ponyboy felt as if he had to live life on the run because the cops would prosecute him.
In addition, both books were similar in describing the characters loss of innocents through a fight. Both Ponyboy and Jonathan were dragged into a bloody gruesome fight. The characters were injured and felt threatened. The characters had to grow up quickly to survive.

In conclusion almost every book that has the same theme, have something in common even if they are about two completely different things. The themes can be tricky to spot but if you spot it you may understand the book better.

Cause & Effect
(Authors note: This piece is about Cause and effect in the book regarding a historical fiction book called, The Fighting Grounds by Avi.)
Cause and effect relationships in novels are extremely important. If there was no cause and effect nothing would be able to happen. In the book, The Fighting Grounds by Avi, there are some prime examples of cause and effect.
For example, Jonathan is captured by the Hessians a few hours after joining the war. For Jonathan it was all downhill from there. If Jonathan wouldn’t have joined the army he would be relaxing at his house. Jonathan’s actions affected his life in a sorrowing way. In his eyes his life is over. Jonathan thinks one night he will fall asleep and not wake up because the Hessians will see no use for him and kill him. In real life every action will somehow change your future, and sometimes that action can leave your devastated.
In conclusion, Jonathan’s decision to join the army at a young age caused him discomfort. He felt his life was over, he was scared. Fortunately, Jonathan did survive by escaping from the enemy.

The eyes of a man are different
(Authors note: This is a writing piece about point of view regarding the book, “The Fighting Grounds”. How people don’t always think the same way.)
In the book The Fighting Grounds by Avi, the main character Jonathan joins the war without his dad knowing. A few hours later, Jonathan is face to face with the Hessians. A gunfight rises and the next thing Jonathan realizes is, his squad is missing. He must run if he wants to live.
Jonathan perceives his squad bailing out and ran for the hills. Jonathan also thought that his squad could have been shot. After thinking the worst Jonathan was captured by the Hessians, He woke up on the side of a tree and was surrounded by the enemy. The Hessians took him and they walked for hours before taking shelter from the rain. If it wasn’t for Jonathan’s squad, he wouldn’t be in this predicament.
Furthermore, his squad could have seen Jonathan still firing ammo down at the Hessians and thought he would stay back. Although he really didn’t want to fight, he was scared for his life.
In conclusion, Jonathan was very young when he joined the army. He thought joining the army was appropriate for him. However, the squad thought differently. Being young, Jonathan lacked wisdom and experience. In either case, each party had a different point of view as to whether it was appropriate for Jonathan to fight. If I was Jonathan, I would be infuriated with the squad for not telling me its destination. Simply, this was not called for by the squad’s bail.

Just another character
(Authors Note The purpose for writing this is to make people understand that characters change throughout storeys and if they didn’t who would ever want to read.)
Like lots of characters in The Outsiders, Ponyboy, dally, Johnny and randy change from the beginning to the end of the story but this is focused on Ponyboy. Ponyboy falls under the dynamic character category.
There are many reasons why Ponyboy is a dynamic character, and here are just a few examples, in the beginning of the book Ponyboy hated the Socs. They had fights and where killing each outer. Ponyboy made it seem like Socs weren’t people. Although in the last few chapters Ponyboy was talking to Randy and they seemed like they could even have became friends.
Furthermore, Ponyboy ran into a fire, in an attempt to save a few kids. The kids where successfully saved. Although would Ponyboy have saved them before he went on the run. I actually don’t think he would have saved the kids if he didn’t know how hard it was when sombodys life changes for the worse
On another note when Johnny killed Bob, Ponyboy was trying to take the blame, he didn’t believe that an innocent greaser would murder somebody in self-defense. Ponyboy was denying the truth up until the end when he discovered Johnny’s last note. It seemed like he came to a conclusion that Johnny did what he did for the best of Ponyboy.
In conclusion Poneyboy is a major dynamic character. If Poneyboy didn’t change from the beginning to the end of the storey, I wouldn’t be writing this and Poneyboy just wouldn’t be interesting. Friends & family
Do you really have a family? Are your mom and dad your family? In the book, The Outsiders by S.E Hinton, the Greasers are a family. They say nothing can change them, but is that really true?
The Greasers are a gang that struggle to survive. They have regular fights with the Soc’s. The fights are violent and people could even die. Everybody seems to hate the Greasers. Normal civilians see the Greasers as annoying, poor, and pointless. People swear at them, beat them, and really think the Greasers are just being jerks.
As a family, the Greasers are not surviving. For instance, Johnny died from a broken back and now Dally just killed himself. Poneyboy is sick and had a concussion. He was in the hospital and didn’t really know where he was. Poneyboy unfortunately can’t leave his bed. A life as a Greaser would be exceptionally hard.
Overall, the Greasers have no innocence and are one giant family. A family really is about people that care for each other and the Greasers are a perfect example. That could of happen after Ponneyboy left
(Author note: This is a storey about what might of happened after Poneyboy and Jhonny left.)
Three hours after the fight. 911 how I can help you, somebody just killed my friend down at the park. "We will send what we can” the operator said. After the cops and ambulance's came, they were prepared for almost anything. One hour later the investigation started. “Hey jack it looks like the killers ran through that field to get away” Robert shouted, we will send out a dog team to trace their steps.
Several hours later, Hey I know this house, he is an X convict this guy was in jail at age 10 when he got out he came here. Jack what should we do. I'm going to call for reinforcements just in case. Let’s ask him if anybody came to his house.
After we knocked and the door opened there were two loud cracks and the next thing they knew Robert and Jack where on the ground bleeding sounded by ambulances. We knew Johnny had something to hide but it was just to dangers he could kill people just to protect his friends.
Robert I don’t know what we should do, we can drop the case and forget it ever happened, or we can risk more lives to find the killer. Jack I just don’t know, I’m surprised he didn’t kill us, we are lucky he shot me in the shoulder and you in the arm. Yea Robert your right we lived for a reason. What did we ever do to Johnny? You can say that again!

My Country
(Authors note: this is a short easea about why our country is great)
The theme this year for partitas pen is, are you proud of your country. There’s many good and bad things, actually there are too many to list. I hope you understand but our country is great.
I am very proud of my country and not just because I live here. There are some countries that have little forum of government or terrible economy, I'm not saying our economy is good but it’s a lot better than some other countries. We always win the wars that we have had. We make sure that the United States is a safe place to live, unlike some cities In Mexico that thousands of people are murdered every year. The United States has free religion rights, unlike some cultures that say you have to be our religion and if you don’t they just kill you.
Overall I think it’s safe to say, the USA is the best country in the world. Its save, its fair, there’s liberty and heaps of patriotism. There are some country that fear us, there are country’s that hate us, but at least they aren’t launching nukes at us or flying planes into more buildings.

Daemon hall pursasave letter!!
(authors note, this is a persuasive to wade in the book daemon hall about going to daemon hall.)
Dear, Wade
You’re known for being the only person in the history of mankind to not die when spending the night in daemon hall. My goal from sending this letter to you is not to make your question your decisions but to make you wonder, was risking my life in worth proving yourself something. I think that going to daemon hall was a waste of time over all although you didn’t know your hero was a daemon. Wade did you really think about Daemon hall before you went there?
However there were some good things, like proving yourself that even insanity can’t strand in between you. Also he didn’t die; well really your friends didn’t die either because after all somehow they did come back to life. Still there are many more bad things like, you could have died, that creepy jerk Ian still didn’t publish that’s most definitely the worst part
In the same manner, Wade do you think Ian Tremblen is a crazy? I known by the time you got into daemon hall and I seen what Ian looked like, you can tell by looking at him he was a weirdo. Although you can’t see he is a daemon just by looking at him you can tell when, his eyes start glowing, he is saying rimes about you dying and how you are going to die. Also nobody has any idea of what happen to Ian for all you know he is planning his next move to kill you and your friends. Although he is most likely dead still you never know he is a daemon.
Most importantly what did your family say? They could have wanted to murder you, or they could have been happy because you are alive. I would not tell my parents what happen because they would be very scared. What did your friends say at school? They might fear you now because you’re a great writer and not scared of anything.
Taken as a whole I think going to daemon hall was not worth it. Think about it, almost killing yourself for a book, that just doesn’t seem worth it. Who cares about proving that you are not going to go insane? Do you think it was worth it. I wonder how terrified you where by the end of the night you must have been on the verge of going insane. We can all tell by your reactions it obviously was not worth it!

the pear 8th grade
Have you ever wondered why an author has done something? Well so do I, there are some major questions I have about the book, The Perl by John Steinbeck.
The first major question I have about The Pearl is why did Kino kill the pore doctor. Think of it the doctor could of healed there kid but no they had to be stubborn. After all there kid did not die from poison. What did the doctor do to them he just needed money and they had a very fine Perl, yea the doctor wouldn’t take it but they could work for them or something. After they killed him they could of taken some supplies but they where dumb and didn’t.
Furthermore why did you run think of it nobody found out that killed the doctor, you could have staged his death and lived a nice life. You would have a kid if you would of stayed now look at your life running from the trackers. Coyitito would have had a long happy energetic life.
Lastly what did Kino and his wife do wrong. First of all they thought too much of their child Coyitito yes their child would be better off being healed but was it worth risking their life and her sanity. Did they really have to run, yes and no they could have been killed if they were caught but it’s better than life on the run hiding from everything. Kino wanted too much of everything he wanted his life to be perfect in every way.
Overall this book was the worst book I have ever read. I don’t think anybody would recommend this book to somebody they hate because reading this book is plane terrible. There is little action in this story even though it’s a tragic story. This story also has little description in some points and then an over lode of unimportant things. giving up laptops
I do not want to get rid of this laptop because well all of my hard work is on these laptops. Yes we yet them back next year but really is it necessary to clear of the hard drive, I beg to differ we should be able to keep them over summer is not like we will break them. Although if we keep our laptops over summer then it could break but that would be our faults if they break then we don’t have a laptop. The only reason why I am complaining is because we work with these all year, we signed a contract saying that we will give them up, if they didn’t clear the hard drive then I would say who cares but all of our work gone(unless its saved onto a flash drive.)

movies
This year for the end of the year field trip we are going to the movies. We are seeing “Pirates of the Carbine Stranger Tides.” I am excited it’s wasting an entire day of school to do something fun. After the movie we are going to Brook field square to eat food. They have my favorite restaurant there it’s called Stir-fry 88. The thing I’m worried about is I might not be able to go. I need to see if I have any missing work, there is some fines I have to pay but I have that under control.
This is the only field trip I'm going on this year because the other field trip was going to see “Reo” which was PG and overall was horrible. Even though the movie ran after school I wish would have gone because we would have got out of school 1 hour early. The same night our school watched “Reo” I went to see “Fast Five” with Joe which was a great movie and the end was spectacular and so was the day.
This is the only field trip I'm going on this year because the other field trip was going to see “Reo” which was PG and overall was horrible. Even though the movie ran after school I wish would have gone because we would have got out of school 1 hour early. The same night our school watched “Reo” I went to see “Fast Five” with Joe which was a great movie and the end was spectacular and so was the day.

“Rockstar”
The song “Rockstar” is based off of a contrary man’s dreams of becoming a “Rockstar” and over all living a great life. The origins of this song are some country and rock. This band is nickel back which is a great band. When I listen to this song I think of being a millionaire because the rocker lifestyle is great. Only if you get past of the bad things like getting addicted to drugs and going crazy. This song by far is my favorite song “Nickelback” wrote in the album “FOR ALL THE RIGHT REASONS.” They have a total or 7 album “CURB, DARK HORSE, SILVER SIDE UP, MAPLEWOOD MN, THE LONG ROAD and lastly THE STATE.” There are 2 people singing in “Rockstar”. There is the lead singer and there is the man he looks up to which doesn’t say his name but has a deeper voice.
When I listen to Nickel Back I feel relaxed and a little tired for some reason. I bet that this song makes millions of people want to become a rockstar and some people might even become a rockstar. This is the bibliography on Nickelback I just found.

The song “Rockstar” is based off of a contrary man’s dreams of becoming a “Rockstar” and over all living a great life. The origins of this song are some country and rock. This band is nickel back which is a great band. When I listen to this song I think of being a millionaire because the rocker lifestyle is great. Only if you get past of the bad things like getting addicted to drugs and going crazy. This song by far is my favorite song “Nickelback” wrote in the album “FOR ALL THE RIGHT REASONS.” They have a total or 7 album “CURB, DARK HORSE, SILVER SIDE UP, MAPLEWOOD MN, THE LONG ROAD and lastly THE STATE.” There are 2 people singing in “Rockstar”. There is the lead singer and there is the man he looks up to which doesn’t say his name but has a deeper voice.
When I listen to Nickel Back I feel relaxed and a little tired for some reason. I bet that this song makes millions of people want to become a rockstar and some people might even become a rockstar. This is the bibliography on Nickelback I just found.

Call of duty is so fun
Even though it’s just begun
CoD is its nickname
Xbox is the blame
Many people’s lives are destroyed
They become an addict with no void

winter is over
Can you believe it winter is over! The cold gloomy weather has left and the worm weather has come in. The best time of the year is when winter is over but summer has yet to start because it’s not too hot but not too cold it’s perfect. Even though you can’t go swimming it’s still great you can do almost anything outside. This is the only time of year I can roller blade because in winter it’s always snowing and there is ice everywhere. This is why I think spring and summer are great times of the year.

summer
Summer is great even though everything is hot. There is no school, we go on vacation for 101 days. You can do whatever you want and its fun because I can stay up as late as I want. We usually go to the dells for 2 days during the summer. It’s fun because we rarely do something’s as a family because it cost a lot of money for 5 people to go do something. When we go out to eat costs around 100 to 200 depending where we go. We have lots of money but food shopping is out rages and we spend most of our money on food at pick and save or at Wal-Mart. But I can’t complain its summer and there is no school.

I love grilled burgers and ribs. I had burgers for dinner last night and tonight im having ribs and chicken it’s going to be great although my favorite food is steak I am the only one in the family that likes steak so I can’t really have that for dinner. But my mom’s ribs are amassing they are slow cooked on low for about 12 hours and then grilled to perfection they also have that nice broil taste that makes it taste like its grilled even more.

My take on 2012 is that it’s a completely fake the world will not end for a very long time because well it’s the world not some animal and it can’t just die. Those whole things with the Mayan calendar yes its real but it’s a calendar it’s not like it’s a nuke and it can’t do any damage to earth.

The main characters dad extremely misses his son so he buys a partite to fill the void in is like. Exactly like lonely people might buy a cat or a dog you know something to keep you company. The partite found out how to say where is harry which is his son from the dad. That shows lot of symbolism and describes his dad a lot. We all know your parents miss you a lot you can tell it in their eyes.
There is a little symbolism in this story like their family own a candy shop which makes they seem happy and joyful in the story. The dad bought a partite which makes it seem like they live in down south because parries live in the South America. They also seem rich because they have lodes and lodes of candy weighting for drop-off. And when the partite at the end of the story said where is harry because he learned if from his owner

nether creative pice
The long haul home
One day there was a very short person married to a very tall person. They were on their honey moon it was a great 5 star hotel in Cancun Mexico. The month before they went there was a UFO sighting but The Strange family didn’t know that, the UFO was really coming back in time to look for them because they are the chosen ones. The strange family is the only people that can save their planate which is No Escape from the Nether a horrible beast taking everything over and after the Planate No Escape is destroyed earth in next on its list. 2 day’s before the family left there roof got ripped off by a mother ship and the Strange Family was abducted and it was all over the news. While the news spread the family was on an epic adventure of a life time they were fighting strange beasts and these bird type things that could shoot, fire and that fire exploded. What was the worst is the nether was coming out of a portal they had to go into the portal to destroy the strange life form but its minions where small enough to get through the small portal. The only thing the minions where doing was making a bigger portal to let the boss out to end the world once and for all. The family had 2 options go into the nether or weight until the beast comes out both has there pros and cons the family was in a real predicament. Either way they had to make a shelter from the horrible beasts outside so they did it was made or glass which for some reason could not break in the nether. They discussed that they were going to do for months.
After 38 days of killing its minions and preventing it the nether from destroying the world. They decided that they were going to go kill the boss as soon as possible. They made a mining shaft in there shelter and started looking for iron or diamond with the few pick axes they have been given. After going about 300 miles down they found a huge iron deposit so they made lots of weapons and armor preparing for the big fight. But they weighted a few days to get lots of sleep before the battle of humanity.
Then the day came to end the nether they ran in into the portal and walked for days down the path to him and they found diamond and gold walls leading into different directions. Telling that one of the tunnels was just recently made they went down that one thinking they might find him trying to get out. They came across a huge maze they went through it and they found the king but he was only about 2 feet tall and surrendered and came with them back to earth and eventually became good and was actually getting hired as a cook and the family well let’s just say the one the lottery and got 52 million dollars they all lived happy for all of eternity. The nether was destroyed too it was great for everybody.

One day there was a hobo the only things he had where a napkin a ear cleaner thing a green pencil a cotton ball a battery and lastly a suction cup. But there was a catch his mom had $1,000,000,000 but the hobo lived in Wisconsin and his mom was in Florida. Jack the hobo was his nickname. Jack’s plan was to perform a skyjack to get to Florida to claim his moms $1.000,000,000. He is going to get past security and get on the plain without them knowing then he uses the suction cup to hang on to the back of the plain the he will take a parachute from the pilot of the plain and jump into Florida when they are above his mom’s house.
When he locates his mom’s house he will use the cotton ball to cover up his finger prints and break the battery and exposing the battery acid eventually melting the doors hinge and he will go and steel the money without ever being caught.

There are millions of games to play the basics like hopscotch the advanced games like war games that take about 2 years to make. Even though great games take a long time to make they usually have multiplayer meaning you can play them for long periods of time and not get board games like fallout on the other hand do not have multiplayer but the campaign his huge and takes place in a entire country. Also some of the funniest games are the basic games like packman or snake they are addicting because you always want to beat you high score witch got a few game companies thinking how can we make our game addicting in its own way and make people always want to play it. Then one company got a great Idea they make a zombie part of the game now it is its own series and millions of people love the game and it’s also very fun.

a false dawn
The false down
Have you ever read a very short story and hated reading the thing? Because that’s just how I felt when I was reading the short story (The False Down written by Edith Wharton.) I didn’t understand what lessen the short story was trying to get across and was generally confusing.
In addition this was a weird story it sounded like it was written in the 70’s and I would never recommend this to anybody. The reason why it sounded like it was written in the 70’s is because there was a person that was terribly sick and people where giving money and food do her now that’s normal but the weird thing was they made it seem like she couldn’t see a doctor or get better it sounded like she was on her death bed sadly.
Furthermore there was some symbolism in the 2 and a half pages of the story they used words like the mahogany and teak bed which brought confused thoughts into the readers head because he was wondering what the bead would look like because mahogany and teak are both exotic woods to make a bed out of. The story also had the word devastated a few times which brought fear into the readers mind while reading the story.
So if you would read this story you would be confused and upset. Who knows what happens to the sick person you don’t know if she lives or dies nobody knows because of the story ends before the author finished telling you what happened in the long run. So this short story is definitely going on my never read again list!

video games
Video games are very fun and addictive. My favorite type of video game is first person shooter games like call of duty and fallout. I also like straightly games because they can be hard. There are also some fun hunting games that are addictive. But the destructive games that games that take place in ww2 are fun because you can cause many chaotic things. Although if the only thing you do is play video games you will get very fat and you could die of a heart attack or something like that. So video games are fun but not good if you only play them you need a social life to.

When I was about 8 years old for my birthday I got an Xbox. I was so happy I got one because all my friends had an Xbox. When I got it I was so surprised because I forgot to tell my mom what I wanted but she clearly knew. The year after that I got a iPod that was when they just came out so it’s old now so im saving my cash for a I phone 4. But the Xbox is my favored thing I have because I use it every day I have lots of friends on it my real life friends are on Xbox to. So we all have lots of fun playing games together. We all have lots of games on my Xbox.
The following year I got call of duty world at war it was a big back then because it was the game to play but now its just a loner game that only about 1,500 people playing the game. When I got world at was I was so happy because all of my friends had it and now im the highest level on the game but my friends and still a low level because they did not play the game of long.

How would you feel if there was only one hour of summer every eight years? This short story it just that there are some people living on Venus and there is only one hour every 7 years. Could you live like that? Now how would you feel if you distorted some little girl’s life?
This story's mode of literature is tragedy everything in this story points to that because the world is in conflict but not in a way if horror its insanity! Living on mars would destroy people’s life because back when this story was made they thought that mars had life on it and that people could live on mars. They also thought it was raining for very long times on Venus this story is nonfiction meaning it’s not real at all. This sorry could never happen there but it might be able to happen on earth or other places we have not found yet.
Equally impotent is the symbolism. The dark closet witch the girl was trapped in during the summer day. The thunder and lightning storms and the cold gusts of wind destroyed the very short time of summer. The dark blue sky the shadows of the clouds glistened in the sky is all symbolism.
On the other hand this story is a good story to read when you have nothing to do. This story is nonfiction because of that it’s hard to relate to. the catbird seat
The author James Thumber wrote this story in a different time and the sayings where not something I understood. This made it hard to understand the meaning of what he was trying to say. These sayings made the reader feel irritated because these saying where some of the symbolism that made the short story good but you where never knew what would happen next not knowing what clashes meant actually made the reader confused but wanting to understand the story.
The Catbird Seat has no plotline because it’s a short story and they don’t have a mode of literature to them. Although there is lots of symbolism in this story like he sits in that darn catbird seat, the catbird seat is a safe place. You are about to be number one and no one can stop you. Furthermore there were also things like her pickaxe was on the upswing ready to swing out. Lastly there were sentences that had sayings like eighteen minutes after two things like that made it seem confusing to the reader because they can just say 2:18.
In addition there were names like Barrows that describe an unhappy, ungrateful person. When I heard the word barrows I didn’t know it seemed like a very old artifact or something like that. Furthermore the story did not go as planned Mr. Marten wanted to rub out some one meaning he wanted to kill a girl trying to destroy his life. Lastly in the end it was a great life for Mr. Marten.
Overall this story only if the person is a great reader because the book is worded weird. Personally this story is not a good story to write about there is nothing to write about in it. Although this story had good symbolism like the juicy camels cigarettes it’s an extremely difficult story to write about. The author used words that most people of age don’t understand.

Furthermore the story did not go as planned Mr. Marten wanted to rub out some one meaning he wanted to kill a girl trying to destroy his life. Lastly in the end it was a great life for Mr. Marten.
Overall this story only if the person is a great reader because the book is worded weird. Personally this story is not a good story to write about there is nothing to write about in it. Although this story had good symbolism like the juicy camels cigarettes it’s an extremely difficult story to write about. The author used words that most people of age don’t understand.

The lottery
The Lottery
How many people play and win the lottery every day? In the short story the lottery by Shirley Jackson, Tessie Hutchinson picked the winning lottery ticket. Although this is a bad lottery, all 300 people in the village must enter and the winner gets stoned to death. You wouldn’t want to win this lottery.
This book was the worst book I have ever read just because there is no plotline in this book it’s just random people saying random things. There are some characteristics to this book like Tessie Hutchison is a mother that was very upset when she won the lottery she won the lottery and earned the beating of the lifetime. I would never tell anybody to read this story to anybody ever. I don’t care if they would like it or not. It’s about public stoning.
There is lots of symbolism in this storey like the whole lottery revolved around the broken down black box, which symbolizes bad things. The children were just released from school for the summer and where told to gather rocks for the lottery. Next the black box was never remade because of the history of the box. The older generation felt the younger generation was young fools for not carrying on the traditions of the Lottery. The last symbolism I caught was there are lots of people of all ages old people to young kids that means this village is been around for a long time.
The feeling as a person reads this book is sad, dark and overall bad. It is negative and the reader can’t believe a town could exit with this hardcore massacre taking place. Public stoning is a horrible think and think twice before you enter in a public lottery you life can depend on it. Lotteries are not always a good thing.

it's all over
One day there was a nuclear warfare and 25% of the world’s population was killed. After these people began to rebuild their houses and getting things replaced. Turns out that this was a good thing because now there IS no more homeless people. Sadly all the money was burned in piles so they traded rocks for goods. There were many wounded but they were going to recover when they suddenly heard a huge explosion and that where outside where killed and this time it was 35% of the people were killed. The rest of the people got safely into bomb shelters in time. They waited till it was safe again to go out it was 5 weeks till it was safe to go out. But it never safe for evil things had taken over. They where scare so they went back in the bomb shelters for 12 years. Years went by until they decided to leave and go up. Right after they went out they smelled this gas and all died on the spot now there was only 2 people left in the world. So one of the people commuted suicide. The other person well let’s say this he decided to go try find more people he needed to know if he was a goner and he traveled for years and then found lots of people in a village and was very happy.

go pac go
I can’t believe it, we all have packer fever. The packer’s one the super bowl! Everybody will have a party. The game was neck and neck and the stealers where thought to win. There was 5 minutes left in the game it was the packers ball al suddenly the packers where staling they had the ball and the wanted to keep the ball as long as possible. The 2 minuets latter the referee called the game and said the packer’s one. My whole family was stunned they one.

outdoors
Having a great time outdoors there can’t be anything better than that having a campfire eating spam and venison. Although some times when we go camping it gets boring because it would be the same thing every day it’s great to just relax and play some video games. Having some homemade popcorn its great to have a great time.

The 2010-2011 super bowl is going to be very exciting because the packers are going to be in it and will win! The reason why the packers will win is because the Steelers suck in a way. Also what will be nice if the packers win everybody in Wisconsin will be partying in Wisconsin. And our economy will sky rocket in Wisconsin.

deep water
Have you ever had a drowning experience? The writer William, O .Douglas of this short story did. He was only12 years old when he wanted to learn how to swim at Y.M.C.A. William had a towering fear of water because when he was only 3 years old he went to the ocean and almost drowned. Mr. Douglas almost died a huge bully came in and through him in the deep end of the pool he was fortunate to survive.
Although this article was confusing because all he needs to do is move his arms and legs and he would go up. Also how saved him the only person that was there was the bruiser and suddenly there is lots of people there. Although there are mixed feeling about the story its better than reading nothing. I can’t believe he lived.

essay response to The Pearl
The Pearl
In the book the Pearl written by John Steinbeck there is a lot of changing keno’s and Juana lives throughout the book. The main character is keno; Keno is an upbeat man that has a family. Keno wife is Juana. Juana has a baby named Coyotito. Coyotito gets stung by a scorpion and almost dies. They all hope they could find the perfect pearl to save Coyotito and they did but, were the pearl really perfect.
The main characters change a lot during the story. Keno started out as a nice peaceful calm person he was wearing a straw hat and had a mustache. In the middle of the book keno was ruthless and thoughtless Keno stabbed body and killed him and then went into hiding he also feels cheated because he didn’t get what he wanted. Keno also killed somebody. At the end of the book keno was a ruthless killer and has venerable for a short time with a knife around his neck he killed 1 of some the hunters for his rifle. Juana started out wearing a blue shall and was a scared woman. In the middle of the book she tried to get rid of their pearl by attempting to throw the pearl in the water. At the end of the book Juana was wearing a vial holding their baby’s body the baby got shot in the head by the trackers. The pearl has changed their lives.
There was lots of symbolism in the Pearl. The book was clearly a tragedy. Steinbeck was using words like creeping of the wave, dark colors and gashed hole in his victim’s chest. Words like that. They words they used where very descriptive. This book started with a tropical backdrop. The canoe has a gashing hole in it. There was rushing water coming down from a mountain. There was lots of death and sadness people where calling them animals. The pearl was affecting their lives and changing them in a bad way. Symbolism changes the story to a tropical story to a tragedy.
The book wasn’t really that bad.
I didn’t like it the book was too short. I would only recommend the book to somebody that likes short adventure books. If you like reading a book that is depressing this book is depressing. At the end its fast pace and depressing. The pearl wasn’t a bad thing at all it destroyed their lives. The pearl was not perfect in any way.

end of book reflecton
The end of the book is depressing because the baby died. The hole book started because of the Baby got stung by the scorpion and then at the end the baby died so it is kind of pointless. Also they through the pearl in the water. The pearl gave the power and also weakness.

self feflection
The book is just beginning. Im my eyes I think that its like a roller costar. Its going up and up and up slowly and then suddenly it moves down like a rock meaning the hole storey will unfold and teach a self lesson. The lesson will problem be something about never giving up hope or like don’t give up something like that.

The pearl will bring good things and bad things. The pearl will probably destroy them. The doctor would kill them just to get the pearl or pay someone to kill them to get the pearl. Although for some reason the priest could be involved he looks suspicious he showed up suddenly when the found the pearl. Also the doctor wanted nothing to do with them and the right when they found the pear he is their friend so he is going to try to steal the pearl.
